Steven Mueller Architects Partners With Greenwich Academy To Offer Meaningful Summer Internship

This Summer, Greenwich-based Architect Steven Mueller welcomed Summer Interns and alumnae from Greenwich Academy to provide opportunities for young people who have been left without meaningful summer jobs due to the COVID crisis. There has never been a more important time to support young people, as many college-aged students are taking a gap year or attending remote classes from home during these ever-changing economic and work times. Greenwich Academy is proud to have nearly 5,000 alumnae around the globe and the Academy's Career Resource Center has placed 188 internship and job placements in 2020 so far.

Steven Mueller Architects, LLC designs and renovates luxury residential properties in New York, Connecticut and various areas of New England. The interns learned about SMA's full-service enterprise dedicated to design excellence specializing in Architecture, Planning, Interior Design, and Construction. The paid virtual Summer Internship included one recent graduate from Elon University and a senior at Washington University in St. Louis (pictured above).

"We were proud to partner with Greenwich Academy and offer opportunities to two very hard-working individuals," said Steven Mueller, the firm's Principal.

In 1993, when Steven first established his business as a boutique architectural firm in Greenwich, Connecticut, he could not have anticipated the economic ups and downs of the last twenty seven years. From the building boom in the late nineties to the post-recession renaissance, Steven Mueller Architects, LLC has thrived as a boutique architectural firm with a practice centered upon the dreams of his clients.

Steven's commitment to education is fueled by his passion for great architecture and the study of architectural history.

As the back to school timeframe ramps up, Greenwich Academy high schoolers and college-aged alumnae from the all-girls institution have banded together to offer remote homework help, tutoring, story telling and game playing with children of healthcare workers in our community. The institution is looking to spread the word through local businesses and to generate more opportunities like the SMA Internship. Learn More about the Program >
